From Var Group's Experience Comes People Leap: A Community to Rethink the Future of Work Together

When we began transforming Var Group's organizational model by distributing responsibilities and moving beyond a traditional hierarchical structure, I won't deny that we had many questions. Changing the way an organization makes decisions, collaborates, and shares accountability means challenging deeply rooted habits. It takes courage, time, and the willingness to learn from mistakes along the way.

Looking back today, I can say that this journey has enabled us to build a more cohesive organization—one that empowers people, fosters autonomy, encourages meaningful collaboration, and responds quickly to an ever-changing market. And the journey is far from over, because organizational transformation is never a destination; it is a continuous process of learning and evolution.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to meet leaders from large enterprises, growing businesses, and startups. No matter their size or industry, one question comes up again and again: How did you do it? How do you build an organization where shared responsibility, self-management, and collaboration become everyday practices rather than just aspirations?

Those conversations inspired the creation of People Leap, a community designed for HR professionals and everyone passionate about building more adaptive, participative, and future-ready organizations.

Our ambition is not to offer a model to replicate, but to share real experiences: what has worked, what we have learned, the tools we use, and the challenges we continue to face. Because concepts such as shared responsibility, autonomy, Holacracy, and Sociocracy only become meaningful when they are put into practice, experienced firsthand, and continuously refined.

The first People Leap gathering confirmed something important: there is a genuine need for a space where people can openly exchange ideas, questions, successes, and challenges. Professionals from different organizations discovered they were facing many of the same issues, proving that organizational transformation is not a solitary journey but one that grows stronger through dialogue and shared learning.

That is the purpose of People Leap: to create a community where HR professionals, leaders, and change-makers can learn from one another, challenge existing assumptions, and contribute to building organizations that are more human, more autonomous, and better equipped to thrive in an increasingly complex market.

I firmly believe that no organization has all the answers. But I also believe that by sharing our experiences and learning together, we can accelerate change and help shape the future of work.
